Happenings

Hi

I am blogging from the comforts of our basement, basking in the soft glow of the Christmas tree while our sweet boy is resting his busy little body in confines of his nice warm crib. Needless to say, the world did not come to an end today. Not that I thought it was going to or anything. But I did stockpile jugs of water and jars of Wowbutter just in case it was going to try to end, but for some reason didn't quite end all the way.

Frazier was disappointed  that nothing cataclysmic happened today.

Clark's last meal request was oranges. He ate his weight them.

He was also upset nothing interesting happened today.

My mom came for a visit this past week. We had a mini Christmas with my grandparents and Clark had his first taste of PEZ candy.

One afternoon we were looking for something to do so we visited the Lilly House downtown Indy. It was beautiful, interesting, educational and best of all, FREE.

They had all the rooms decorated for Christmas and it was just lovely. It took up about 20 minutes to take the tour. It also took 20 minutes for Clark to lose his interest and want to run free like a wild bore. So it worked out perfect.

Did I mention that I have a new handyman? He works for Teddy Grahams and usually leaves a mess when he is done working, but his craftsmanship is impeccable.

Hope everyone else had a great what could have been the last day on Earth.

Happy Weekend,
Colie

All About His Daddy

Hello

Clark has always had a strong love for his daddy, but the last two weeks have been out of control. Now that he is much more verbal and understands the world around him a bit more, he is constantly talking about how awesome his daddy is. I have been relegated to the back burner, I now play second fiddle, I play for the B team and sliced bread is cooler than I am.

Clark is all over Matt like stink on a monkey. When Matt is gone he asks where he is every 2.2 seconds and if I ignore his persistent "where daddy" he will go get a picture of him and bring it to me. Just in case I was having trouble understanding who exactly he was referring to. They do everything together and Clark tries to do everything just like his daddy. Clark's newest word is TOOL.

Clark- Just remember who put you in this position, please.... *hint* It was NOT your mommy.

In unrelated daddy obsession news, Clark had his 18 month doctor's appointment. He weighs 22lbs 13oz and is 30 3/4 inches tall. Both less than the 10th percentile. Quick flash back....this time last year he was 21 pounds and slightly shorter.

The doctor is not concerned with his lack of weight gain because he grew 1.5 inches in 6 months and is eating appropriately. He is just very active. Very. The doctor said he is just going to grown along his own curve and as long as he looks healthy and is eating we weren't going to worry. That's reassuring, thanks doc.

Hope everyone had a good weekend,
Colie

OH DEAR, OH DEAR

You may notice giant - signs over all the pictures on the blog. That was my doing, I tired to load a picture onto the blog and it said Picasa Memory Full...buy more space, blah blah blah, so I deleted some pictures. Then Matt emptied the recycle bin on the computer. Gone forever. So now I have a blog with huge - signs where all my pictures were. Bummer. I still have the pictures on my computer though, just not sure if I want to go back an put all the pics back by hand. So, looks like the blog is now a pictureless experience for past posts.

Sorry.
